Dear B.C. Survivor, I have not been able to find any articles or web sites that speak specifically to pregnancies after TRAM flap reconstruction.  However, we just had a similar question on the forum and I checked with the some of our breast center doctors and nurses.   While there has been some documentation of successful pregnancies with a unilateral TRAM (use of one of the abdominal muscles), this is not the case with a bilateral TRAM (use of 2 of the abdominal muscles).  The concern is that without these muscles a body would not be able to support a pregnancy and the possibility of a herniation would be great.
