progestserone cream

progestserone cream

Having recently being diagnosed and awaiting surgery I find hot flashes very bothersone, especially at night. Will progesterone cream help or cause an exacerbation of my cancer - which is graded Nottingham grade 11/111 and positive for estrogen receptors.

Dear ozzie 44:  Most physicians would not recommend progesterone cream.  There are a number of options that have helped people with hot flashes.  These include vitamin B complex, vitamin E, ibuprofen, bellergal and clonidine.  It is important to talk to your physician before you take any medications.

HI-
When chemo threw me into early menopause, I was kept awake for almost 2 weeks with horrible hot flashes.  My doctor put me on a very low daily dose of time released Effexor which almost totally eliminated the flashes.  You might want to talk to your doctor about this option!

I have above the muscle breast implants.  Newly diagnosed phase one, stage one estrogen positive 1cm breast cancer, lumpectomy with sentinel node and 2 others microscopic - evidence unsure.  I've had 4 adriamycin's and 3 taxol's (5 to go, I'm 43).  What about radiation with these implants?  When will I have any hair re-growth?

Thanks!
