prognosis in recurrence breast cancer in internal mammary lymphnodes

my sister 46 yrs,bil br cancer within a yr,rt side- lumpectomy followed by chemo &radiotherapy,10 mths later developed ductal invasive ca in lt breast-t2 no mo,total mastectomy,axillary lymphnode dissection chemotherapy done,TRIPLE -VE,AFTER 2 mths,PETscan shows 2 int mammary LN +ve ,fnac confirmed malingnancy,How is the prognosis now? pl reply

Dear nirmala59, There is not a simple answer as towhat your sister's prognosis is.  Treatment decisions and discussion will take into account many factors such as prior chemotherapies, response to treatment her overall health etc.  Prognostication will be discussed in context of a treatment plan proposed, and is something that is better answered in a discussion that would be specific to the situation, it is also a better opportunity to have questions answered.
