purplish spot on breast

I am 34. Weaned my 2 yr old son about a month ago. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a wierd spot on the underside of one breast. It is purplish, looks kind of like a zit but darker and no head on it. There is no depth to it, or lump underneath it. It is completely on the skin. About the size of a pencil eraser. I notice there are other spots on there, but they are all teeny tiny and look to be related to maybe sweat glands or hair follicles or something. I am fairly sure its some sort of skin irritation.

I have no lumps, no puckering of the skin, no new/odd textures on my breast, no pulling, no nipple issues. I have some mild pain here and there but I attribute that to weaning.

Could it be some sort of folliculitis? I am worried about inflammatory breast cancer.

I wouldn't be considering IBC with the symptoms you describe. It does sound like a skin problem and may have some connection to the weaning so recently. If this continues or seems to become worse I would suggest you ck. with your OB about it.   Regards .....
