raised red spots on left breast?!

by punkybear88, Nov 04, 2009 05:01PM
about 6 months ago i realized i had a small red bump on the outside border of my nipple (top). Ans over the 6 months it has gotten to the size of a dime. About 2 weeks ago I discovered another spot about 2in. above the first one, which started at the size of the head of a sewing pin and is now the size of an eraser on a pencil. It doesn't itch or burn and I can't tell the difference between lumps that are normally there(nodes) and ones that aren't. I have an appointment with my PCP in a week but it would be good to have a heads up on what this might be. by the way I'm 21 if that helps. Thanks

Dear punkybear88:  Skin on the breast is like skin on any other part of the body and is subject to a variety of abnormalities.  Without evaluation, it is impossible to speculate on what this may be.  Hopefully, your PCP will be able to shed some light on the situation.  If not, you might consider a dermatologist.
