Hi.
Thanks for the information.
The radiologist can give you information regarding the result of your mammography and ultrasound. However, you should also show the result to your primary doctor for his/her opinion on the result.
Perhaps you should inform your neurologist also the result of your work-ups. A multidisciplinary approach in management would be best for patients with other medical conditions.
Take care.
My BIRADS score was 0, then post Biopsy it became a 5 with a diagnoses of Cancer. Once you have a biopsy you will know for sure. Take care.
Thank you for your prompt reply. Is it a good thing that the Radiologist told me that she believed that the report was not cancer, though she could not say for sure? She would not "go out on a limb" with that response without some sort of assurance, would she? She told me that she was a straight-forward, no-nonsense woman, so I really want to believe her. Also, I have RSD, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, and I am only one of twelve (now fourteen) patients worldwide who have traveled to Monterrey, Mexico to be intubated into a Ketamine induced coma for six days to "reboot" our brains so that our para-sympathetic, sympathetic, and nervous systems begin to accept and recognize pain signals again. I was, as you can see, deathly ill, and the left side was my dominant RSD side (left breast the one in question). I was totally incapacitated, inner organs including eyes included, prior to the coma which provided thirty, perhaps (sometimes) forty percent relief, though I depend on Ketamine boosters bi-monthly.
You can see why I am deathly afraid of ANY invasive procedure because it could ruin anything the coma "fixed." I have had so many chest x-rays, CAT scans, the coma and all of the lines that go along with it, and Dystonia along with constant shaking and tremoring of my left arm. You can view my video on rsdfoundation.org. Then, click English, and scroll to Foundation News. Directly under Foundation News you will find Medical Synopsis of Coma Patients and look for Deborah_Caloutas. Click on my name, and you will see pictures, a synopsis, and at the bottom, a pre-coma video, post-coma video, and a video after a three day escalating Ketamine treatment after the coma. After all of this, you see my HUGE problem and why I am so hesitant about anything, especially a biopsy. As a medical professional, you may find this interesting because so few doctors with whom I have had encounters have had any knowledge of RSD also known as CRPS.
Thank you so very much,
Debbie
Hi.
A BIRADS 4 category would mean suspicious abnormality that is not characteristic of breast cancer, but there is a probability of being malignant. You can refer to this link for the other BIRADS category: http://biradsclass.blogspot.com.
What you can do now is to have a biopsy done in order to have a more definite diagnosis so that appropriate treatment can be started.
Good luck.
