Hi,
Sometimes recurrent breast abscesses are very difficult to deal with and I wonder if your Doctor has perhaps mentioned  “Zuskas breast disease”? This is a rare condition that occurs mostly in women and sometimes also in men.Although it's a serious disease,it is not related to breast cancer in any way.
To get full information about this recurrent condition (Subareolas abscesses) and how to treat it,please copy and paste the link below.
I would advise you to consult a Breast Specialist/ Surgeon who will be able to explain everything to you and most probably order some type of testing preceding any surgical intervention.
By all means you could also consult a Wound Care Specialist and see what he/she advises you to do.
All the best to you and good luck!
