reoccurring discharge

reoccurring discharge

Ok. I am totally freaked out..
(Just so some info adds up.. some info.) I live with my brother who works 7 days a week. At the beginning we lived in Texas.
I am 18, 19 in august.
In December of 08 I was checking my breasts for lumps, and when I lifted my left one up, some watery bloody liquid came out. I had no way to get to a doctor for two weeks. When I could there was not enough liquid to test, and they did not have the equipment to test for blood. We flew home the next day, and I was able to see my doctor in Michigan. She ordered me an ultrasound. I was back in Texas before I got the results so they sent them to a surgeon in Texas.
He said they came back normal. And my office exam was normal too. I was sent home and told not to worry, it probably cleared itself up on it's own.

Well here we are in May of 09 and it's back. Today the outside of my breast was bothering me, I figured it was my bra, and then suddenly I could feel something was wettish. Not badly wet, but still. I can pull the liquid out and its clear and watery.

I am terrified. Please help.

If this info means anything to you.....

Dear cheers2you08:  Many women have some type of nipple discharge or fluid when their breasts are squeezed (or pressed), and its normal. Squeezing the nipple sends message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple.  The discharge can come in a variety of colors - gray, green and brown as well as white.  Some women are more prone to more discharge including women on; birth control pills, certain blood pressure medications or on major tranquilizers.  These medications increase prolactin levels in the body.   There is also certain life periods when a person is more likely to get discharge than others: there may be more discharge at puberty and at menopause than the years in-between.

The time to worry about nipple discharge is when it’s spontaneous (comes out by itself without squeezing), keeps on happening, and is only on one side; or if the discharge is clear and sticky, like an egg white, or bloody.  If any of these occur you should have it checked by your doctor.  Without evaluation, it is impossible to know what this may mean in your case.
