5 years ago I had a lumpectomy on my right side, along with 28 radiationCystitis - noninfectious Radiation therapy treatments and tamoxifenTamoxifen Tamoxifen citrate after that. I was on the tamoxifenTamoxifen Tamoxifen citrate for 5 yrs and finished it in May of this year. I had an ultrasound and diagnositic mammogram done today for a lumpLumps in the breasts on the left side. The doctor did not find anything said I was very dense, looked like it could be scar tissue. How could I have scar tissue on the left side without ever having surgery there? Becase of my history he said my regularRegular insulin doctor may want to do a biopsy. Can cancer come back that soon?
Not sure about the scar tissue .... maybe a misunderstanding as to which side for your previous surgery ?? Possibly just the dense tissue also. Cancer can return at any time; even during treatment but this lumpLumps in the breasts on the left could certainly be something other than cancer. Before I came to any conclusions I would get a detailed explanation of both reports from your Physician. If there is a lump it must have been seen on either the mammo or the ultrasound. Regards ....
