i had my 1st mammogram at age 40,three years ago and had to have a biopsy and then ended up having a open biopsy that turned out to be benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo. Every mammogram I have had since then has been ok. I just had my annual mammogram march 16,2008 and got a call a few days later that I have a new area of calcifications that are grouped and i have to go back in a few days for a biopsy, my mother passed away from breast cancer 14yrs ago, any words of wisdom, what are the caneces of this not being cancer?
i had breast cancer in 2001. both of my breasts are loaded with microcalcifications, some grouped in clustersCluster headaches others not. i have had 6 biopsies for calcifications since 2001, all of which were benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo. i am now facing another biopsy or a wait and see follow up in 6 months. i havent spoken to my dr. yet. only the radiologist. im very scared also, because if this turns out to be something i probably am facing mastectomyMastectomy Mastectomy - series. the only thing i can say is that other than the one breast cancer, everything else has been fine. its very scary. i too dont want another biospy
