sore swollen lumpy breasts

Hi, I'm 19 years old and about a year ago i noticed a little bump above my left nipple, i procrastinated on going to see a doctor. A couple months later it grew and covered the whole top of my left breast, then it started on my right one. Now, it spread through out both my breasts. So, now, the only time that they are not sore or swollen is when i am on my period, then about 3 days after my period they swell up again until my next cycle. I went to see a doctor, they took an ultra sound and saw nothing. The doctor was pretty rude with me and i felt like he didnt take me seriously, he didnt even take the time to look at them or feel them, so i never went back. Like i said, this has been going on for about a year now. I just need some answers

You obviously have fibrocystic breast condition which is all too common. You will notice the difference in relation to your menstrual cycle as you mentioned. If your personal Physician isn't listening to you then I suggest that you see a Breast Specialist for some advice as to what might help in reducing your discomfort. I wouldn't be concerned about this as far as Breast Cancer is concerned but you could get some help with the discomfort.  Regards ....

Two of my daughters took birth control pills for a short period of time. They both stopped because they were getting something like your symptoms. When they stopped the birth control pills, after a while their breasts returned to normal. Are you on birth control?

No i've never taken birth control, but ive been told that it might be the amount of caffeine i drink, so i stopped drinking caffeine and im going to see if that works. The doctor that i went to see was the breast specialist in our town. But if not drinking caffeine doesnt help me i will go see one out of town
