stress level building

stress level building

No question, just venting. My annual mammogram is a week away. After last year's BIRADS 5 scare I can't think about a mammogram without getting stressed out. My likelihood of getting called back for more pictures is high, due to these darn fibrocystic breasts of mine, which will drag the whole mammo thing out for a week or two at least. Anybody else suffer from this post-scare annual stressfest? (and yes, my mother having had breast cancer always adds to the stress)

Well, you could just accept that your testing is going to take longer and expect it to.  That way, if you DON"T get called back, then you will be pleasantly surprised.

Last mammo I had, the guy DIDN"T take me back for an ultrasound and I about gave him a new one.  He actually had to prove to me that there were no changes, even though my mammo's are usually very difficult to read.  I still wonder about that.

Testing's a b****h, but necessary.
Good luck and may your testing be uneventful!

ANyone who has had repeat mams and follow up US knows the feeling. Add to that a biopsy or two and yes the stress level is bad. I am there waiting for biopsy results....many others are as well, you are at the right place for support. God Bless and may your test all be uneventful. Madge

I'm going to make "uneventful" my word of the week.
"How is your week going?"
"Quite uneventful, thank you."

I like "uneventful"..."uncomplicated" is good, too.

We'll all have uneventful lives from here on out.  And testing will just be a blip in our radars.

Deep breath......exhale....and SMILE!

You could  ask for, or may even have in your house, a mild tranquilizer?
