birad4a ,4 areas, first one is non mass like nodular focus of enhancement, rapid wash in enhancement up to 275% of baseline with short plateau and washout of 16%.second one is focus of enhancement with type 2 kinetics.third is area that also demos washout,at 27%.fourth is type 2 with plateauing enhancement curves. told to get mri directed biopsy, i am going to a breast surgeon.have had atypical ductal hyperplasia, want all 4 areas out and biopsied.what do u think?

This will be something that only the Surgeon can determine. You certainly may discuss your wishes but the approach should be left to the Expert. I'm not sure how all these values were determined but I must assume it was by film only. There won't be "out" and "biopsied" .... if surgical removal were to be done there would be no actual "biopsy". It would be a complete surgical excision thru an open incision under general anesthesia.I'm not sure how this could be accomplised by "sight" alone thus the recommendation for biopsy under some type of Image guidance.   Regards ....
