swelling

its been 2 yrs since completion of radiation, i am expierencing soreness and swelling wth firmness in the area between the lymphmnode and lumpectomy scar. my oncologist seems to think its fluid something like cellulitis. i am scheduled to see my surgeon and have a mammogram. but the thought of reocurrence is in my mind. has these symtoms been related to reocurrence

This could be fluid .... could possibly be related to Lymphedema in that area or cellulitis, both of which can occur at any time after breast surgery with lymph node removal. The symptoms you describe wouldn't make me think recurrance though.  Regards ....
