swollen armpit

I have have had 2 breast exams,they have found no lumps,no symptoms,but I have had a swollen arm pit for about a month now and the found no infection or redness,i went to a doctor, they gave me ibuprofen,for swelling and pain,which has not helped at all what could this be?I am very worried

Dear tracie908:  There are multiple possible explanations for swelling under the arm.  Without examination, it is impossible for us to speculate on what may be causing your symptoms.  Since this has persisted for a month, you may need to return to your primary care doctor for further evaluation.
