If a women has a BIRADS 4 tumor and a swollen lymph node in the same breast is that a clear indication the tumor is malignant?  Is there a connection between the two? Biopsy results will be in by Monday.

Dear MikeCristina, A BIRADS rating of 4 describes a suspicious looking abnormality that is not characteristic but has a reasonable probability of malignancy, and a biopsy should be considered. Having a swollen lymph node in the same breast might be more suspicious but is not a clear indication that the tumor is malignant.
