swollen lymph nodes?

Hi, I posted the question about if I should go to the surgeon and this morning I noticed my left side abouve my collar bone is slightly swollen when you feel over the area? Is this lymph nodes? I am waiting for the surgeons office to call back right now, will he be able to tell? Or should I call my regular doc. Thanks!!!

I agree with getting a second opinion. It's too stressful to wait and wonder if the first doctor is right or not.

2 weeks ago i discovered under left armpit a moderately painful lump the size of a grape. the dr put me on antibiotics and said it was a skin infection. the lump went away. yesterday morning under the other armpit -- i discovered 2 lumps. i went back to the dr and was given a blood test (CBC) which showed no infection. white count, etc. was normal. Then this morning, I discovered yet ANOTHER lump under my left armpit. So, now I am sitting here writing this to you with 1 lump under my left armpit -- and 2 lumps under my right armpit. My dr is still insisting that this is a skin infection (cellulitis she says).

I am 52, in good health other than high blood pressure and 20 lbs overweight. My health habits are good, I eat right, I do exercise, no drink or smoke. I do have a history of all forms of cancer in my family.

I am insisting on a second opinion. Something here doesn't seem right.

any news yet? My biopsy came back clear the only thing they said was something about skin scar but the breast dr said there was no scar where she took the skin biopsy from anyone know what that means? Please let me know how you made out

I went to breast dr friday and she still was not very concerned she did do the skin bunch biopsy I will get the results on Tuesday. I will be saying prayers for the both of us. I will let you know how I do and please let me know how you make out.

No word on the biopsy? I see my DR. next week again, I think he will have result then? His office is close fri-sun. so waiting game right now. Yea, I don't get the whit count being up and don't really kn ow what the infection is? It sure could be possible this has something to do with all of it? How is your situation? Any news?

Hi, Thank you for your concern. I am not sure what to think? My blood work shows I have some sort of a viral infection but don't know where? My white count was up some? In the last few days my left areola area has gotten flakier and my nipple is inverted some more. My Dr. did two Biopsies yesterday in his office for Paget's disease a form of Breast cancer I guess, (I am trying to find out more) and also IBC because it does have a rashy look? I do have an appointment set up with the surgeon that did my lumpectomy in two weeks....To go over why I am having so many issues(I guess). I just don't understand how I can have all of these symptoms and still no real answers? Can anyone tell me if you have experience anything like this? Also, I have times of feeling kind of sick? Extremly exausted at times and my back aches? I don't like to normally say all these issues, I try to always look at the positive..just feeling worn down.Thanks for your imput.

When will you get the results from your biopsy? Could the infection have something to do with all of your symptoms? I go for my biopsy either today or Wednesday(to either confirm or rule of IBC) not sure hopefully when I see the breast dr today she will do it right there I am hoping this will give me some answers as well. Let m eknow how you make out and I will also let you know.

You should see a doctor.  It's likely not anything serious but see a doctor be sure.

Hi, I'm only 19 years old but for a few years now I've been noticing an unusual bumb right above my left collar bone. It's very tender and it moves around, to the point that sometimes it hides underneath my collar bone. What could this been a sign of?

Dear ChristineQ:  Without evaluation, it is not possible for us to speculate on the swelling above your collarbone.  Either doctor should be able to examine you and provide recommendations as to what the next steps should be, if any.

Please see my post to you under other question. Yes I would tell the breast dr. I know when I went that was something that they were looking for swollen nodes under arm and above and below collar bone. Did they rule out infection?

No, they haven't checked for infection? Just with everything going on as far as the breast goes it just seems odd? I'm going to the Dr. tomorrow, so we will see...Thanks
