taking tamoxifin(tamoxifen) & radiation simultaniously, side effects solutions

by concerned tamoxifin user, Sep 20, 2007 10:39PM
How can I best combat all the debilitating symptoms from taking these therapies, while in full blown menapause, post segmented mastectomy, even though meds have been prescribed for many of them -  The worst being--2-3 bouts of hot flashes/sweats hourly-intensifued by tamoxifin (tamoxifen) x2, severe mood swings, upset stomach, extreme fatigue, deep bone-joint/muscular pain, edema-hands, feet, ankles--all 24/7.

Most women that are in menopause are on other drugs like armidex. Did the tamoxifen out you in menopause or was it natural menopause? If you go to breastcancer.org, click on community support and join the discussion board there. Scroll down to Help Me Get through Treatment (I think) and read what many other women are doing for their symptons. I had alot of them to begin with but now only a few night time hot flashes. How long you been on the tamoxifen?
