Hi guys,
I am 61 , had doubleDouble-tussin dm mastectomy with diep reconstruction 9 weeks ago. Tumor in left breast was 1 cm, no node involvement but HER2 positive. I have started my 6 chemo treatments of Taxotere, Carboplatin and Herceptin. I had my 2 second treatment Wed. Side effects the first time started a couple of days after with bone pain in my legs from the Nulasta shot (helps to produce white blood cells) icky feeling, taste buds not working so well, bowels issues, and not sleeping so well. Lasted for about 4-5 days. Eating every couple of hours helped with not being too nauseas. Keeping mouth clean after eating and rinsing with salt water was very helpful. Advil for the bone pain also helped. I did walk on the treadmill slowly even when I had the pain to keep the blood flowing. On day 9 I felt well with no futher effects except it is taking my taste buds a while to come back. I hope this info helps
Keep in touch and good luck.
