I had reconstruction done when I had breast surgery now I want to have the tissure expander removed with out having completed the expansion . How is that surgery done and how much time will be out of work?

If you're done with the expansion why not exchange them for regular implants? The implants are a whole lot more comfortable than the expanders. Have there been problems with the expanders that are extremely unusual?

If you want the expanders removed it's a fairly simple surgery. It's likely if you had it done on a Friday you could be back to work on Monday. No guarantees. They simply open the pocket and slide the expanders out and close it up again. It's nothing like the surgery you had to put them in. To get a better idea of BOTH surgeries, contact your physician, they know your personal history and can best answer your questions.

Best wishes.
