titanium clip side affect???

I had a needle biopsy two weeks ago and am scheduled for a surgical biospsy on 9/16.  For the past two days, I have been getting strange pain feelings not just at the location of the biopsy but also all over my body like a pinching sensation under the skin, one second the pain will be in an arm, then later the back, the leg, shoulder, side, arm, back of neck, breast(not the one with the titanium clip), inside chest, even once on my eye lid. I am really getting worried, could I be having some kind of reaction to the titanium clip left in after the needle biopsy?

Hi,
When you have a minimally invasive breast biopsy, such as as the one you had,the standard of care is to place a tiny stainless steel or titanium clip on the spot where the tissue was sampled.
The titanium chip is the size of a "Pinhead" It is not felt or cause any pain and will not "travel" anywhere -- not to the heart, not to the brain, nowhere. It will remain within the breast tissue, in the exact spot it is placed, until surgically removed.
If there's ever a need for surgical removal of more tissue,such as you are going to be having on 9/16, then the surgeon can use the clip as a bull's-eye marker during surgery and the clip will be automatically removed.
I never heard that the symptoms you are describing are caused by the titanium clip,except for some type of allergic reaction that some women experience....but one never really knows how our body can react and it could certainly be a possibility.
In any case soon the clip will be removed and I hope that your surgery will be uneventful and will result in benign findings.
