tram flap problems

I received a tram flap six months post mastectomy in 2001.  I am having many problems with abdominal bulging and possible hernias. (lower abdomen and epigastric areas)  Cat scans show nothing but I was in a supine position for testing. When I stand or lift they are obvious. The epigastric one seems to present while bending over.  I needed merlex mesh to cover areas of missing muscle even though my surgery was unilateral. X-rays subsequently have shown the presence of staples also,which seem to burn and pull. I can no longer do the same things I did previously, I am becoming increasingly depressed. What do you suggest? Please respond.Thank you.

Dear PPinn:  Have you spoken with your plastic surgeon?  Perhaps he/she would have some suggestion.  If not, you might consider an opinion with another plastic surgeon, preferably one who specializes in breast reconstruction.
