twitching pain after breast stereotactic vacuum biopsy

My doctor done a stereotactic vacuum biopsy on my left breast this April. A clip was left inside my breast. A week after the procedure, I receive the result from my surgeon and she said that its not cancerous. Its been more than one month and i still feel twitching pain from my left breast. particularly from the area which the clip is left. And the hard lumps (due to the procedure) are still there. Please advise whether what seem to be thr problem and will there be any side effect if the clip is not taken out ? By the way , Can the clip be taken out ? im very worried.

I certainly don't think that it would take years for a hematoma to be absorbed. As far as scar tissue, this can be removed or revised if it does cause considerable discomfort for a long time. You should also remember that each of us experiences pain or discomfort in a different way and rarely are any two cases alike. Hang in there ... things do improve with time.  Take care ...

Yes the clip could be taken out but it is left there for a reason. This will show that some action has been taken regarding this particular area so that it wouldn't be thought to be a new area of concern. The clips are Titanium and harmless as a rule .... as far as the discomfort you are feeling I'm not sure unless there is some scar tissue forming that would cause the feelings you describe. The hard lumps may be either small hematomas due to bleeding at the time of the biopsy OR scar tissue. If they are hematomas they may be absorbed in time .. scar tissue of course will not change. A month is not long for complete healing to take place so I wouldn't be worried.   Regards ...
