I can't figure out why the nurse told you that...No one knows anything about this lump till you get a biopsy and the pathology report! Not even your doctor can know, let alone the nurse. Try your best to stay calm and don't think about something bad...it might turn out be a good finding after all. Please take care..my prayers are with you.
We'll pray for you too... keep us posted. Take care.
thank you ladies. when i went to the hospital for my blood work yesterday the nurse at the desk got me very scare because she said to me good you're finally going to find out what stage you are at so put it this way i started to cry like a baby and i left there freaking out so i do think my doctor knows more but i will wait and pray.
thank you

No, the only way to tell if it is cancer is from the pathologist.I went for an US, and the radiologist "saw abnormal findings' and right away he did the biospsy.. right then and there...wouldn't even let me off the table !!!!! sent it off to path and boom!!! there it is... so, he obviously knew something abnormal and addressed that right away.. and thank gawd he did.. i was scared and wanted to put it off.. but he knew I would never come back for the biopsy.
I know u are stressing, been there, still there,, but it is better to know now...
So, now I know, I have to do what ever it takes and push forward no matter what it takes...
Good Luck !!!

The ultrasound imagery is a way to see if there's "something" abnormal.
The pathology report from the biopsy will determine what the nature of that "something" is.
Hi,
No,nobody can tell for sure if the lump seen on an Ultrasound is cancerous or not.Certainly the radiologist has a fairly good idea about the imagery ,but only a biopsy followed by a pathology examination of the tissue taken, can confirm if it's cancer or not.Wishing you a benign finding.Take care...
