warts inside breast

My mother had lumps in breast and bleeding from the nipple.  Following ultrasound and mammogram she was told she had warts in her breast and they aren't sure of the cause of the bleeding.  She was told she will probalby loose most of her breast to surgery.  We have never heard of warts in the breast.  What information can we get?

Dear saski, What they may be referring to are intraductal papilloma.  An intraductal papilloma is a tiny wart-like growth in breast tissue.  A papilloma could be a cause of bleeding from the nipple and surgery might be a treatment for this condition.
