Distortion could be and area that just doesn't appear as expeccted at that particular angle or view. It's a pretty general description that may not even show up when the additional views are taken. A step-relative is not a blood relative so that would have no bearing on you or any condition you may have. Regards ....
ok what about distoration? what do they mean by that? and thanku for your info :) i have 2 step sisters that had breast cancer and i am now 40 and been worried :(
Calcifications can be observed scattered about within the breast tissue and are of no particular concern. When they are seen in groups or clusters they may indicate some abnormal ... sometimes cancer but more often than not it is something other than cancer. The first step would be to have additional views to get a better picture of what is going on and depending on the results of these a biopsy may be necessary to determine the cause of these findings. There is no way to tell until after the additional testing is done. Regards .....
