Hi.  I am 41 yo.  Just had mammogram and the result on my left breast is birad 4a, with clustered round, oval  and amorphous microcalcifications are seen at the posterior upper outer quadrant (left), some in linear formation.  I would like to know if someone had a similar mammogram results? what was the results after 2nd opinion?  is there a probability that the film reading is incorrect?

I am very scared.  The breast specialist will be available next week.

I don't put much stock in probabilities or percentages as they aren't arrived at on an individual basis. I have seen that BIRAD4 biopsies can be due to cancer in 25 to 50 % of the time. I wouldn't doubt the films or seek a second opinion at this point ... the report seems pretty clear to me. I would have the biopsy the is recommended by the Surgeon and then think about a second opinion if the biopsy indicates something entirely different than the mammogram report.  Regards ....
