what would cause pain in left breast nipple

I have been on hormones for 26 years.  I take Ogen 1 per day @.75ml. I have pain in the lower part of my left breast nipple. What could cause this?

Please,I urge you to discuss with your prescribing doctor,concerning Ogen... (Generic name Estropipate) .
This drug should be used for the shortest possible length of time and at the lowest effective dose, so that you obtain the benefits and minimize the chance of serious side effects from long-term treatment.If you have been using Ogen for an extended period,I hope that you were also evaluated at least once a year.
It has long been suspected that  women taking HRT had a higher likelihood of developing breast cancer.
The pain in your breast does not necessarily mean that you have breast cancer,since pain is almost never associated with this disease.However,the  best advice I could give you is to see your doctor or better a breast Specialist who might order a mammogram and an Ultrasound to find out if there is an underlying problem,like a cyst or Fibroadenoma (both benign findings) that could cause the pain you are describing.
