white then pink nipple discharge after squeezing.......worried sick

Hi. Two nights ago I was checking my breasts. The bra That I have been wearing caused soreness. When I was looking at my right nipple, I noticed it was more irretated than my left one. After squeezing it once white stuff came out. I then squeezed it again and more white stuff came out. I was freaked! I can't believe that I went ahead and squeezed it a third time. This time it was not white but a little clear and pinkish red. I put a piece of white kleenex folded into a square over the nipple to moniter the discharge. Then next day, there was very little pink on the square. Today my breast & nipple are still a little sore. So far ther isn't any discharge. Tomorrow is Monday....Thank God!! I cannot wait to call my doctor! Has this ever happened to anyone?? Having white then pink discharge after squuezing?? I am so worried about breast cancer. I have been a mess all weekend. If anyone has any information, please inform me. Thanks for reading.

Dear dragonfli:  Many women have some type of nipple discharge or fluid when their breasts are squeezed, and its normal. Squeezing the nipple sends message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple. The discharge can come in a variety of colors - gray, green and brown as well as white. Some women are more prone to more discharge including women on; birth control pills, certain blood pressure medications or on major tranquilizers. These medications increase prolactin levels in the body. There is also certain life periods when a person is more likely to get discharge than others: there may be more discharge at puberty and at menopause than the years in-between.
