Last week I spent much time on this site, I was told to get a biopsy from my Dr/radiologist for a cluster of microcalcifications.   I was under an extreme level of anxiety and some of the postings from this site that talked about benign conclusions helped me to calm down a bit.  I told myself that if I were to receive good news, I would also post it.  Well I got the great news that my microcalcifications are benign.  The microcalcifications were new from last year's mamo and my Dr/radiologist seemed concerned about the size and shape they had.   I would advise you to read and be informed but don't overdo it because you may get anxiety with the different types of situations (cancers)that you will be reading about.  Like me, yours may most likely be benign.   Take care, my best to you.

I would like to continue the good thoughts from the previous post.  I had to undergo a surgical biopsy for indeterminate microcalcifications.  Everything I read, although informative, scared me more than giving me hope that my results would come back negative for cancer.  Even though the odds were in my favor of it being nothing, I was sure I had cancer.  Thankfully, I got a call two working days after my biopsy from my surgeon saying my results were negative.  So for those of you who are going through this scary experience try not to worry.  It's hard not to, I sure wasn't successful at it but as my experience and the post before this proves, chances are good that yours will turn out to be nothing.  Because of this experience, I am going to do all I can to help the Komen for the Cure foundation.  Hopefully, someday women won't have to go through what we are.  Good luck to everyone.
