You are doing the right thing to do SBExams and going to see a doctor. I had some wrinkling in the skin and nipples and swollen area and a little nipple dicharge. Went to the doctor and he said that was not a sign. However, I did have a lump and had it removed and it was cancer.
Signs like you mention can be signs of BC but best to get looked at by the doctor. A CT or MRI should show if you have a lump or cyst. Best to get all lumps removed and tested.
If you have not had a mamo or ultrasound, should have one of those also. Since you find lumps often you should have them yearly.
Not sure how old you are but don't let them tell you that you are too young to have BC.
I know that Cancer Cares is located in NY they might have information that you are looking for.
Good luck - hope this helps I have BC and can only advise on what I have experienced. No med exp.
just got back from hosp. The lump in the r breast is so small he needs the mamo to be able to pin point needle biopsey, although gp felt it ok,but if its moving then its more likely to be a breast mouse. The results should be through to him on friday. As far as the left side goes he feels the wrinkling is most likey age(why not both sides i dont know)but again if there is anything wrong the mamo will show it up.Thanks both for your thoughts and help.Dawn
AGE?! Do our boobs wrinkle like that as we get older? Well, I hope it's nothing but that. Let's pray that the other thing is nothing! I'm glad you had your appointment today. Keep us posted.
Im not so sure about the age thing either as why only on the one side, but then he's the expert not me.I was dissapointed not to get the reults there and then(like i was told i would by gp!)but i think that was because he thought there were no problems. Will let you know the result of the mamo.Dawn
