Baby girl has the sniffles!

Baby girl has the sniffles!

Well, I guess when you exclusively BF it still does not 100% protect your little one from the yucky elements.  Me, my 3yr old and now my 5mo baby girl, all have sneezy, runny noses and a cough.  My husband is the only one that feels fine.  Last night, I was up til 5am trying to comfort my baby...she felt a little warm, so I gave her some tylenol.  Her spirits are fine, just that I know she has a little head cold.  I know the best thing is to continue bfing, I'm just really surprised she caught this.  We all have the flu/H1N1 shot too.  Today, I need to buy a cool mist humidifier, can anyone recommend a good one?

We bought one from Target - I have no idea the brand but it's helped my little guy sleep. It's a frog - there were three that were animal shapes so I figured they were good for kids...?  I had no idea what to buy with humidifiers so I went with the one that looked like it was designed for kids!  It's been great.  Out guy has had a runny nose off and on and a bit of a cough - no more with the humidifier!  Good luck.

We have one made by Vic's (vapor rub people). It was really expensive, probably close to a $100 or more. We actually had purchased it when I was pregnant with Cooper. We wanted to make sure the air in his room was extra clean because he was a "heart baby".  Sadly you know we never got to use it on Coop but now we use for Cruz. I think it is awesome. I turn it on every night because the air gets so stuffy with the heater.   While he was still sleeping in our room, I loved having it in here. It helped me breathe so much better. Now that he is in his "big bed" I really miss having it around!

We purchased it at Babie's R Us, I am not sure if they still have it.

My sister has the frog one that Diane was talking about and she loves it too!

Sorry to hear that Connor and Olivia are sniffly!

i use a cheap vics one. we also have a holmes one. they all seem to work the same.

we all had the sniffles recently, although the baby never got bad and recovered quickly. while they aren't 100% protected, it could be worse. in order to develop immune systems, we need to be sick. the breastmilk helps the baby fight it off faster and more effectively.
