I am on the mini pill. I haven't noticed any bad side effects. I've been on it for 3 months now. When your breastfeeding your options are limited. My doctor said I could use mirena, but I didn't want to. I am so paranoid about getting pregnant too soon, so I am on the pill, use condoms and along with the breastfeeding I am covered. Apparently, the mini pill is less effective than regular bc pills. But, if you breastfeeding along with the pill, it's suppose to wrok great, I am just paranoid!
I have the Mirena and loving it. It last 5 years and you don't have to worry about remembering to take the pill or stop to put a condom on. It's safe to take while breastfeeding too.
