Breastfeeding with Implants

Has anyone successfully breastfeed after having implants???

I had implants, over the muscle, scars under the breasts, about 9 years ago....I got them a few years after I had my 11 year old son, not thinking I was going to have any more children...here I am 9 years later...and 23 weeks pregnant.  So I was wondering if I would be able to breastfeed...I know that each case is different depending on the type of surgery (over muscle having less odds), and the damage done during the surgery...

Just wondering statistically if anyone else had issues, success stories, or unsuccess stories.  Thanks.

My implants are under the muscle, I had the surgery back in 2003.  I do not have any troubles with breastfeeding.  I have 525cc for each breast, which took me from a 32A to a 32D.  My OB/GYN said that he knew cases were women went too large and ended up causing damage from stretching, but not in my case.

I had a friend in Atlanta that had her implants over the muscle, and the incision was around her nipple, and she still breastfed her baby without any problems.

I had implants in 2005 under the muscle and aerola incisions.. I have been nursing for 6 months though I dont seem to have as many active ducts like my last child all has been fine. so it is possible since it has been a long time since surgery your chances are better good luck to you !
