I'm trying to increase my supply. This is going to be long but thought everyone should have the back story. I have a 3 mos old which I'm feeding on both formula and breast milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal. My supply from the start was low (per my dr. since the baby lost a few ounces, she weighed at 6lbs 7 oz then at 1st week visit she ws down to 5lbs 13 oz so dr. suggested supplementing with an ounce). I was so upset but wanted to make sure my baby did not starve. I would give her my breast before each bottle (plus pumped but only would get almost an ounce total from both breast the whole day) but as time went on she need more food but my milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal supply was still low so she received the formula. Well since she's 3 mos she's now feeding on 4 oz. at each feeding, the last few weeks she's been pulling on my nipple when I try to bf her(ouch!) I guess she's used to the bottle since it's easier for her. Well now I'm back at work and luckily we have a mothers room with a mendela pump (hospital grade) which I will definetly use once I receive my attachments (I have the avent pump and to me it doesn't pump strong enough to get my milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal out). My question is has any one have any luck with the mothers tea to increase their supply? I also have the more milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal plus capsules from motherlove. I am determined to feed my baby on breast milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal only or at least to give her a full feeding of it:) Any suggestions would be great. I've read I should pump 15mins on each breast for single, and total for the doubleDouble-tussin dm and at least every 3 hrs which I will definetly will do.
