Need Advice

Im 17 years old & pregnant with my first child. At this point my mind is set on breastfeeding my daughter- due to the support and encouragment from my boyfriend. Im not from a family that breastfeed & neither is his really, just his aunt who recently had a baby. Im extremely nervous due to the lack of experience with it, all i know is the information i resourced. My question is will i be able to grow through this so young? I also want to finish school. So how does breastfeeding & daycare fall into favor?? Another thing is how will i know if she's latched properly & how to get her to do so?  Im 34 weeks & only have a little time left, so im trying to do my homework on this & get all the information i can.
Sorry so long & so many questions but i want to hear from mother's with experience on this topic, thanks :(

I am a new mom. In only 21. I asked the sane questions. But after o had my daughter and the brought her to me after my c-section I didn't even really hold her just let her feed. And I haven't had any problems nursing. I want to go back to school but breast feeding my baby comes first. So school has to wait for myself. But you can pump and store your milk for why she's in daycare. Breasmilk stays good on the freezer for 6 months. So get breastmilk storage bags and make sure to put the date so you know when it goes bad. I have about 25oz saved up so far just incase something happens to either one of us.

Breastfeeding is natural. No training needed. Just give your baby what it wants. The best advice I ever had was to feed her whenever she cried, that babies were very hungry but had small stomachs. I took that advice and never looked back. If someone gives you complicated advice, backed up with reams of scientific data, run for your life.

Many mothers find taking a class beneficial. We live in a very modern world and could come across many barriers. You will find many great tips and ways to make the "learning process" easier from moms on the forum. Everyone has a different experience and different advice. It's all worth taking into consideration and finding out what works best for you. :) Congratulations & looking forward to the questions! XO

If you are eligible, apply for WIC and utilize their peer breastfeeding program.  The Peer Counselors at WIC are not only knowlegable, but have real-life experiece breastfeeding.  Most are even current or past WIC moms.  You may be able to recieve advice from the peer counselor even if you are not on the program, but you will not be able to recieve the full benefits, such as recieving breast pumps ect.
