I am 4 months post partum and breastfeeding. I have not had a period yet. We are not using birth control because we would like another child soon anyway. I have had some cramping in the lowest part of my belly every day for about 3 days now while I'm doing other things around the house that I've not had before and my nipples are sore now for about a week. I've taken a HPT and have gotten a neg. Is this just symptoms of my period returning or super early pregnancy symptoms you think? I also work part time 3rd shift and pump twice during my shift otherwise I breast feed her while I'm not working.
Cant be sure until the test shows positive, but for most women you have cramping while breastfeeding and sore breasts for a while. My period didnt return for 6months after having my daughter since I was breastfeeding. But you never know... give it some time and take another test!
It was indeed my period returning. I would love to conceive again right away but I wonder how possible it is. I work part time 2-4 days per week and she is bottle fed during those hours and I pump 1 or 2 times while at work. I've read that your period may return without ovulating.
