I have been breastfeedingBreast-feeding tips Breastfeeding Breastfeeding - resources, pumping and supplimenting. Yesterday I had a few glasses of wine, when I got home I pumped thinking I was just going to dump what I pumped, but do I have too? I had probably 3 glasses of wine and a beer in a 4-5 hour period. I'm not sure on how that all works and was wanting to know when I should not be giving her my breastmilk...

did you feel ANY effects of the alcohol right before you pumped. if you had even the slightest buzz, then i would definitely dump it. normally, if it were a glass (maybe 2), i'd say it's ok, but 4 drinks is a lot. plus, i have noticed that when i have a glass of wine, it's never what is actually considered a glass- the size of wine glasses and therefore serving sizes have increased. so the old rule of 1 beer= 1 glass of wine often does not apply. i hate to say it, but i suggest dumpingDumping syndrome.
okay i talked to my doctor and they said as long as i dont get drunk i will be fine so i have not pumped at all i mean my daughter never took a bottle lol
