THat is perfectly fine.  I was SOOO worried about my milk supply i went in and asked my dr.  She is also a Lactation Consultant.  My daughter had jaundice, my milk was not in, it was a mess and I needed to try and get my milk in and increase my supply fast if i wanted to bf so this is what my dr ordered.  She ordered me a pump (electric dual medela) and told me pump about 30min-1hr before i as to feed her.  Then nurse her when she's hungry- don't worry because there is ALWAYS enough milk for your baby- you will not run out.  I thought that when i pumped i was DRAINING my supply and had to wait until i was full again but that is not corect.  It is best to pump- then nurse and your supply will start to increase.  Baby will always get enough to eat.  :D good luck and happy nursing!
