Sick While breastfeedin

Right now I feel sick.. My throat hurts and my head.. Can I still breastfeeding if im sick!! thanks

Yes, you can and you certainly should Your baby will receive antibodies to whatever virus you have, which will protect them from getting as sick.

Try to keep up on your fluid and speak with your pharmacist about safe ways to treat your symptoms. Tylenol is generally safe as is Afrin used in moderation. Be safe and ask before taking anything.

Yes, keep breastfeeding!  I know when I would nurse my baby while I was sick, she NEVER got sick!  Everyone else in the house would get whatever cold was going around, but not the baby!  In fact, so far she has only had 1 or 2 colds in her life, and she is 18 months old.
