I just checked and have a fever of 100.7 im having hot/cold flashes and my whole body keeps tensing up and convulsing. the flu or related to my tender breast? HELP!! ive been sick since the day we came home almost 6 weeks ago and im SO ready to feel better!!!
Sounds like Mastitis. With it you have flu like symptoms and fever. Speak to a doctor and see what they think. They can also give you antibiotics if that's the case. Sorry I can't help more, I don't have any personal experience or know much else about it.
If you have a tender breast and a fever, go see a doctor. It may be mastitis as mentioned above but only your GP can determine that. If it is, you will be prescribed antibiotics which are safe when breastfeeding.
thank you. i did go to the hospital last night and they thought that i have meningitis and wanted to do a spinal tap but my son was with and it was already after eleven so i left against medical advice. but am still having the symptoms so im going to pump some bottles for him and he's going to stay home with daddy while i go back to have it done.
I used cabbage leaves and took some pain meds and by the next day it was gone. I also used a cold compress and it worked wonders. That side has now pretty well dried up...still working on getting the other side to follow suit. No more keep-me-awake-all-night-pain though, thank goodness!!!!!
