breastfeeding vs bottlefeeding
So this is my first time having a baby. Im not sure if I want to bottle feed or breastfeed. My mom never breastfeed. She told me the bottle feeding has the same nutrition as breast milk. True? When my baby is born I still im going to continue to go to school five days a week. So is it likely that I would be able to continue breastfeeding while im in school?. Not sure what to do. Please help me!!
my sister breast fed and bottle fed my niece and she's fine. If you plan on going to school it might be easier to bottle feed.
Breastfeeding is better but formula is fine. I have 4 formula fed babies and they are all healthy and smart. I personally think they exaggerate the benefits of breastfeeding. 4 kids up to age 8 and no ear infections, no major sickness. The studies from unbiased groups show it helps for 6 months immune protection. So whatever you choose don't let anyone make you feel bad.
Hi. I would recommend that you feed breastmilk for the first 6 months minimum. If you need to go to workplace, you must collect and keep your breastmilk in a clean steel utensil and ask your spouse or family member or nanny to feed only breastmilk to your baby.

There is a lot to back that up. I did supplement my first with a bottle plus nursing.That was kind of nice, best of both worlds. He's a healthy boy, no allergies, strong immune system. My second son I nursed exclusively. He has allergies, is smaller and gets sick easier. It's kind of strange. But I do like the bonding experience of nursing even though it is tiring.
How many kids do you have? How long did you nurse them?
When mothers intend to return to work soon after the birth, they can choose the freedom of bottle feeding. All the mothers are capable of breastfeeding and they should try to do so. In case, they decide not to breastfeed the baby, they should not feel guilty. It is also possible to express enough milk so that the partner or the caretaker can feed the baby in absence of the mother. This way the baby can get the benefits of the breast milk and the mother can have the flexibility of bottle feeding.
Once you make your decision to bottle feed, do not feel guilty and stick to your decision. Majority of babies shift to the bottle feeding at some or the other stage often after weaning. 'Breast is best' is an old saying that rings true… I nursed all my kids and was able to pump when I returned to school (work really - I'm a teacher). Ultimately you're going to need to do what works for you. For me I had no idea if I was going to be able to nurse or wanted to or any of that… I took it one day at a time and had success. I found a ton of support on this sight as well. I reached out to those around me and took things one day at a time.
While the nutrition in formula has drastically improved, and many babies do very well on it, it is still not as healthy as breast milk. Also, breast milk is not just nutrition, it also provides them with an immune system. Your babies immune system isn't strong enough yo fight germ till its about 6 months old. Before that, your body passes on protection to your baby through breast milk. No formula can do that!
Breastfeed! With baby #1 I breastfed when I was home and pumped at work. If I didn't get to pump enough I would mix my breast milk and formula. Breastfeeding is the healthiest way to feed your baby. It's also important bonding time for you both. Maybe best of all is that it's completely free!! See if your insurance will pay for the beast pump.

To be honest theres no reason you can't do both... You should have like 6 weeks off from everything when the baby is born... Thats the perfect time to start he/she breastfeeding. When you go back to school... Babysitter can supplement with formula, and you can still pump and nurse at night! Im a ftm too, and i think that's how im gonna play it! I will have to go back to work after about 6 or 8 weeks, but definitly
I have a friend who pumped for 22 months!!! I loved breastfeeding because it was always ready to go and free and it was such relaxing bonding time with my baby :-) And i didn't have to listen to my baby cry and scream while I prepaid a bottle and never worried about the temperature getting to hot. But pumping you get used to it.. It may seem weird at first but with time it will get better.. And your body will know how much to make to ensure baby gets enough... My friend was able to donate about 3000oz of milk to 2 other babies while pumping for her own baby.. I wanted to pump when I had my daughter but wasn't able. I'm due in 6 weeks with baby 2 and will try pumping again... It's certainly very healthy for baby but you also need to have at least 1 person to support you in it as it can get difficult at times. It's fine tho to breastfeed sometimes and formula feed if you need to and then when you are done with school you could strictly breastfeed or pump and bottle feed if you wanted to.. Do what works for you tho.
I have a close friend who has the same problem butshe is breastfeeding when she can and bottlefeeding when she can not. Doing both is perfectly fine.
Everything one is say im selfish for not wanting to breastfeed but it not that I dont want to its simple cuz im not going to be home with my baby all day everyday . When my babys is born I well have three months lefted of school and so it just does seem likely that I going to be able to breastfeed fid in less I bump all the time. And that dont sound enjoyable. So am really confused on what to do . I want to do the best thing for mybaby .
Thank how easy is it for the ethier parent how you aren't around. Cuz with me going to school five days a week im werid about not pumping enough milk while im away. Or if I have a babysit ter while im at school is it easyer for them to have bottles. I want it to be as simple as I want possibly make it so no one is stressing. Haha make since
