If you get a breast reduction before getting pregnant can it cause problems with milk production and breast feeding?

Sorry not sure personally, but I do know someone who had a breast reduction and wasn't able to breastfeed.

I met someone @ my breast feeding class and she had some type of surgery with her breast and was told the same thing.  Currently she is breastfeeding her baby with no problems.

I know someone who had a breast reduction. She breast fed but did have to supplement too. I believe if and how the nipple was repositioned can be a big factor

I believe it depends on how they go about doing the reduction and if they disconnect your nipple when they do it. If you have a consultation with a plastic surgeon I would ask them about it.

Thanks. I've really been considering having a breast reduction recently. Its something I have always wanted.
