flu shot

has anyone got the flu shot while breastfeeding?
my dd 6mo appt isnt till first part of Dec. so wont get info till then and was wondering.  going into the winter months here....YIKES

I did every year while nursing my boys. I would get the shot, not the mist as the mist actually has a weakened strain in it.

I actually got the flu shot while breastfeeding in the hopes that it would provide some protection to dd without her getting the shot.  I have no scientific research to back it up, just a thought.

i got the shot while bf'ing. i also got it while pregnant. my OB gave it to me both times, so it is safe.

My  daughter will also be 6 months in December and is feed exclusively on breast milk and I got my flu shot today, as a matter of fact!  I havent heard of any negative effects of this but we all know what could happen if our little ones get the flu.

thanks for the info guys.. I know they say the flu is even worse this year and the shot has gotten stronger. I will be getting it done.
