mastitis or what??

i believe i had mastitis cause i had have this tender area which was painful on my left breast which turned reddish afterward ,,then the redness traveled to the right one but without any pain,,i took antibiotic and the pain went away,,but now and after almost 2 months i still have the reddish color!!!! i have pain occasionally but only when my breast is engorged,,i went to a surgeon who believes i have no mastitis..so is it normal or should i go for a second opinion? i dont know what to do so plz help.

a surgeon????? I woudl not think that a surgeon would have any clue what to look for and does nto see it enough to make a diagnoses of mastitis! Honey I would call the lalachee league how ever that is spelled, go online and look them up and find someone in your area to call and talk to them. Or go to a hospital to ask a lactation consultant as they can help you. You might have a c clogged duct and warm compresses with compression will help that. You would be in terrible pain and have a fever with the mastitis I would think but I have never had it so I can only speak from waht I have heard of family members having it.
