pills while in breastfeed

is it safe for breastfeeding moms to take birth control pills even when still not having her menstruation?
my doctor adviced me to take excluton only if i had my first mens.
i just gave birth last feb. 26, 2010 to my 2nd baby and still not having my mens.

If you're breastfeeding, you may not have a period until after you stop.  There are birth control pills, called mini pills (they contain progesterone only, not estrogen) that are safe to take while breastfeeding and won't affect your supply, either.  I've been on one calle Micronor since I was 6 weeks postpartum - my son is nearly 5 months now.  I haven't yet had a period.
