Dear JenLex, my birth mother had 5 children and they were all at least 1.5 years apart. She breastfed every one of us and didn't use any birth control due to religious reasons. So, yes it is possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding. It's supposed to be harder, but that doesn't always mean anything. I immediately went on BC after I gave birth because I did not want to end up like my mother. My midwife told me to take it continuously so I wouldn't get my period. It would've been too hard to deal with all the hormonal emotions and a period. I waited about a year to get my period back. If you aren't pregnant again right now, please go on BC.
it is unlikely that you are pregnant again at 2.5 months, though it is possible.
They say that exclusive breastfeeding is good form of contraception while exclusively breastfeeding, but of course, it is not 100%.
The only way to know for sure would be a blood test, if a home pregnancy test was negative.
Best wishes
