soreness

soreness

I've been nursing for 5 months with no problems or discomfort. This week, however, I've noticed a soreness when I nurse or pump. It's not unbearable but it's definitely noticeable. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

This happened to me as well, but it was later, around 6 or 7 months.  It only lasted a few days and I am pretty sure it was caused by ovulation - but not before I was panicking that I was pregnant, which can be another common culprit.  Have you started your period yet?  You can certainly ovulate while breastfeeding without getting your period.  Your little one may have also gotten lazy about her latch - so check that.  Try using the lanolin cream again - it helped me.

I too get a little sore before my period. It could very well be an impending AF.
