Ouch!!! Poor littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys guy! Did you take your baby in to see the Dr or did you receive this advice over the phone? I wouldn't try to treat it with anything until my dr saw the rash and told me specifically what to use. If you see the rash isn't getting better, whatever you are applying obviously isn't doing the trick. In the meantime, I would take his diaper off every chance you can to expose his littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys butt to some fresh air. Apply a cool soft cloth to the area, and let your dr see the rash!! Anytime there are blisters, (especially around the genitals) they could be more prone to infection. Also, since he is currently in such an uncomfortable sensitive condition, make sure you change his diaper frequently to ensure there is no further irritation.
Look at his diapers. I fought a massive bleeding rash on my firs son for over a month. We treated everything and treated for everything including yeast, staph and strep...turns out it was the diapers!
We went to using only baking soda water and Huggies Supreme or Kroger brand diapers and it went away. Give baby as much naked time as possible to air it out and avoid any wiped or straight water as that can sting an already irritated bottom.
i agree with the other 2 ladies on what they said...
dd has only had 2 rashes- the second popped up yesterday. I quickly realized it's my husband's meat sauce that caused it both times. i don't know if it was the tomatoes or onions, but i suspect onions since i occasionally eat tomato sauce but had to cut onion out of my diet when dd was a week or 2 old since i suspected it caused her heart burn. Sure enough, along with a bright red rash that looked like a burn, DD was miserable with acid reflux yesterday. she is on meds that normally controls it for the most part- seems like onions are just too much for her to handle.

my baby gets bad nappy rash from tomato... though a small amount in my diet doesn't seem to affect her... (but her eating it does)....
Could also be the onions... would be careful with both though for now...
