Cryosurgery gone bad?

by kcb888, Dec 24, 2007 02:54AM
I had a wart on my scalp which I got frozen off 2 days ago. I had warts frozen off before but never had a reaction or blister like this. Did my dermatologist get too carried away with the bottle of liquid nitrogen? Should I be worried? Here are some pictures:

Oh, and how should I wash my hair?
Thanks!

The photos cannot be viewed and I would not want you to post them to this site.   Having said that, it is possible to get to have the nitrogen cause deep tissue destruction that might even require surgical correction.  I have one patient currently in my practice, that had nitrogen applied to his hand, and the nitrogen destroyed the tissue through the tendons all the way down to bone.
